| This is a letter I sent my Newly
appointed lawyer : Jaime Kaigh, who was appointed after Kevin Walshe of the Public Defender's Office repeatedly refused to defend me.
Oct 18th,
1999 SUBJECT:
Your representation of me. Jaime Kaigh Dear, Jaime kaigh I received a letter from the Camden Office Of the Public Defender on Oct 5th, stating you had been chosen to represent me in the Camden Superior court related to the Unconstitutional charges of conspiracy and possession of Marijuana stemming from my Nov. 24th, 1997 arrest. I called you on that day, and spoke to your secretary who assured me you would return my call. You haven't. I really would like to start off with no side issues with you, but in light of the problems I had with the public defender refusing to represent me. It is worrisome to me that you havent returned my call as of yet. I dont know if the public defenders office has briefed you on me and my case or not or even if you care. My supporters have set-up a website at http://www.njweedman.com - that will serve two purposes right now it is the Official Election webpage of my Protest candidacy. I a candidate in both the Camden County Freeholders race and the State assembly (8th dist). After the election it will serve as my official defense Page and will chronicle my plight in regards to these UNCONSTITUTIONAL charges. I actually just wanted to inform you to please read these before you called me in for appointment. I have every intention of making my trial as high profile a trial as possible. On Oct 23 my caimpainge commercilas will also start airing, on the local cable channels. As far as Im concerned the state charges amount to nothing more than RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION. I have felt free to give some very open statements to any and every reporter who has called me. While I have not really gained the attention of the local press I have given interviews with several out of state newspapers and just Sat. Oct 30th, I will a guest speaker on WBUZ in Cin Oh. - which broadcast over the Internet as well as the airwaves. My interview can be listened to by anyone in the world on the Internet including my potentials Jurors and the prosecution. I will soon make it available to the builters of my website. I want to tell you a couple of
other things before we meet as well. (1). Im a
practicing RASTAFARIAN and regard marijuana as a holy
sacrament and use daily as my teachings have taught me. I
have no itentions on changing my religion or accepting a
plea deal which would force me to cease my religious
practices. The law is wrong not I. (2) Im fully
aware of the constitutionally acceptable practice
of Jury Nullification and will be openly advocating
to my Jury to utilize jury nullification and set-me free.
(3) I plan on playing a major part in my defense,
including questioning my jurors, picking my jurors, and
cross examining all the witnesss the prosecution
presents. (4) I plan on reading or having witnesss
read sections of the New Jersey Openly advocating Jury Nullification my present a problem to you because you have sworn to some oath. I have not. I plan on using the free speech clauses in the US Constitution and the NJ Constitution to talk about what I want - Jury Nullification. Unless Judge Brown Plans on suspending the constitutions, in his courtroom. I will freely quote the constitution and how these charges violate my constitutional rights, as well as my god given inalienable rights. These intentions made the public defender (Kevin Walshe) refuse to prepare my case for trial. I first met him in Jan of 1998, as far as Im concerned he has wasted over a year and a half that could have been spent preparing for my trial. This is why Im worried you havent called me back. My fear is Judge brown will set a trial date soon and my counsel (YOU) will not have time to prepare, when over a year has been wasted. Please when you get a chance read my website, (click on the image of me giving the finger on the right side of the page), and the statements made on it. As well as all the documentation and motions filed already. On May 20th PDO- deputy Mr.
Freidmann wrote to Judge freeman that I was trying to
publicize my proceedings which I dont
deny. In fact Id say that was putting it mild.
Because of my website I have been contacted by 20/20,
Court TV, and the Montel Williams Show. By the time
my trial is set to begin Im sure It will be watched
by multiple media outlets across the country. If you
dont want to participate in such a trial withdraw
now. I wont object. Everyday POT smoker. CC- Judge Brown 1 of 17
