Challenges New Jersey on
Race, Reefer and Religion
Before the U.S. Supreme Court
New Jersey - In perhaps one of the boldest moves in the recent history of marijuana activism, long time cannabis advocate and Trentonian newspaper columnist, Ed Forchion aka NJWeedman, and his lawyers, New Jersey Attorneys Allan Marain, Esq. and John Vincent Saykanic, Esq., are challenging the state of New Jersey before the U.S. Supreme Court regarding pertinent issues pertaining to reefer, racial discrimination and religion. Forchion’s legal team filed a Petition for Writ of Certiorari to the U.S. Supreme Court (US Supreme Court Docket - 15-8533) on March 8, 2016, presenting ten questions for review and response from the courts. As the subject of race and religion, as it relates to cannabis, has never been brought before the U.S. Supreme Court, the filing marks a landmark stance in the marijuana movement.

There are three fronts in this War on Cannabis:
1 - SOCIAL - I don't use the word recreational - that sounds like someone smoking weed on the swingsets.
2 - MEDICAL - I am a bone Cancer patient & California medical card holder.
3 - SPIRITUAL - I have followed various forms of religion that accept the herb "cannabis" as its sacarment.
I've been on the internet for 20 years. My first AOL account was in 1994, and I've maintained my personal website NJWEEDMAN.COM since 1998 and have been as public and vocal as I could about legalizing marijuana. As a result I'm internationally known. I've been featured in dozens of magazines, hundreds of newspapers, a few documentaries and appeared on TV shows. But I never thought of myself as a celebrity, maybe a "weed-lebrity" but now I'm being stalked like a celebrity. DAM, I've now joined the stalked celebrity ranks of Sandra Bullock, Kim Kardashian, Madonna, Michael Jackson, Nicole Kidman, Michael Douglas, David Letterman, Conan O'Brien, Jello Biafra and Jodie Foster. Hopefully I won't share the fate of Ronald Reagan or John Lennon. Who all were stalked by individuals with psychological issues?
ACLU REPORT, “The War on Marijuana in Black and White: Billions of Dollars Wasted on Racially Biased Arrests," ADMITTED IN NEW JERSEY APPEALS CASE:
STATE of NEW JERSEY vs FORCHION #A004052-12T4
NJWeedman aka Edward Forchion scored a major legal victory.
On Oct 30, 2014, the New Jersey Appeals Court ruled in Forchion’s favor, conceding that the ACLU report can be used by Forchion in his appeal to further his argument that the state of NJ marijuana laws are racist.
Dirty-bong water politics Jersey style
The 3rd District of New Jersey which was touted as a national hotbed election this year started out hot; but not in the way the Democrats and Republicans expected. "NJWeedman"
TO THE PRESS and the PUBLIC;
Traditionally it's been the Republicans who've been accused of disenfranchising voters by democrats. Hypocritically in the 3rd district its become a bi-partisan effort. If anyone wants to see how bi-partisanship can work just look at how the "Democrats and Republicans" are equally attempting to protect its candidates from me (NJWeedman) the Congressional candidate of The Legalize Marijuana Party for 3rd district by disenfranchising voters in a bi-partisan effort.
